We have volunteer opportunities every Saturday at 8:45am-11:45 and 11:45-2:30pm (excluding major 3-day holiday weekends and if its raining). We also have a separate volunteer opportunity to Volunteer on Sunday mornings preparing our new facility for us to move into by doing landscaping projects, such as weeding and watering. Services Provided:
We are a non-profit developmental therapeutic riding program that works with children with multiple and severe disabilities, including autism. Our volunteers help the program by: leading horses, spotting (walking alongside the horse to ensure child's safety), groom horses, clean tack, facility maintenance (i.e. raking leaves, weeding, picking up manure, etc.) We also have Costume Day on the last Saturday of October(sing up here: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/20F0B4FA4AD29A0FA7-costume#/) and the Annual Children's Demonstration and Fun Day on the second Saturday of June (sign up here: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/20F0B4FA4AD29A0FA7-funday#/). Both days need help with set up, clean up, helping with game booths and arts & crafts, etc. We do have other events throughout the year, such as Tack Sales. Our next one will be on Sept 14, 2024. We need help on that day from 8-1.
